Default b16 wont start, help!

i just swapped a b16 into my del sol. cam timing is good, i used an ex wiring harness and pretty much everything was plug and play. the problem im having is the damn thing cranks but wont start up. it's getting fuel but a really weak spark. i swapped the guts out of my single cam dizzy and it was the same. i swapped my friends gsr dizzy onto my car and it was the same. i know the ecu is good as well. is this most likely because of a bad ground? any other thoughts on what might be causing the problem?

There is a chance of the problem being a bad ground. My grounds, located on the thermostat housing came loose once and my car wouldn't start. Check that the four wires grounded to the thermostat housing by a 10mm bolt aren't loose or corroded. Also, why didn't you use your existing del sol harness? When I do this B16 swap I use the del sol engine harness. Just curious why you changed it?Good luck

i did use my existing harness. i was just letting everyone know i used a harness already wired for VTEC. i'll check that ground though as i did have to mess w/ the Tstat housing right before i dropped the motor in.

Another thing I thought you might wanna check cause you said weak spark. Check for proper voltage to your ignition coil (blk/yellow wire if I remember right)Verify with Helms.

Maybe check your plug wires, check your plugs and see if their dirty or not. If the plugs are black then they sometimes won't fire. Maybe swap the igniter for a different one. Are the spark plug wires in the correct firing order, 1342?

plugs are brand new ngk's. firing order was right and the guts are all out of a known working distributor. i think i am going to get a new set of plug wires and go over some of the wiring in the harness.
