posted this thread about 4 months before I had my turbo on..
alot of people seemed to think that the S2k would be faster.. after racing a bone stock S2k at the 1/8 mile its pretty obvious who is faster.. On 4lbs of boost, stock clutch, and 17's I was able to pull a 9.6 @ 75mph 1/8 beating the S2k pretty bad who was stock and running 9.9@ 73mph, both of us were doing 2.4 60ft so it was about equal driving but the LS turbo clearly pulled the lead.. I have the time slip, ill see if I can get someone to scan it..
although, I havent had the chance to race one on the highway yet but I really want to race this thing in its sweet spot.... Im not trying to start **** but if I was pulling 2 more mph in the 1/8 on my car w/ 4lbs, 17's, stock exhaust, stock clutch then now with stock 15's, 8lbs, 3" exhaust and ACT clutch the S2k will be a walk in the park!
once again im not trying to start **** but before when i posted the LS turbo vs. S2k thread 90% of people were biased towards the S2k and I just wanted to let those people know that its just not the case..

It must be the elevation or something but my friend who has a s2k and just HKS exhaust hit a 9.0 in the 8th. I have the same situation kinda cause another one of my friends has a turbo ls and the guy with the s2k walks him evertime they race. You just have to know how to lauch the s2k.

Like I said before, I raped a turbo`d ls from about 70-130`ish. S2k was on heavy 18`s w/ exhaust. LS was running 6lbs.
Any S2k's in the DFW metroplex wanna race me from 70-130?
I agree.....a turbo LS on 6psi is no joke. My untuned LS with 115K miles running on 3 cylinders toasted a friends stock S2K on a short highway run.

I could totally understand an S2k romping all over a turbo LS once the LS got to 5th gear, though. Cuz the LS has a pretty tall 5th, doesn't it? Whereas the S2k has tight gearing all the way to top.
Or maybe not, since the LS probably has no shortage of torque in the midrange. I'd like to see a dyno plot of a Turbo LS.

LS 5th gear is horrible, maybe thats why vtecvoodoo had such an easy time beating the turbo LS, it was in overdrive gear.. Ill race to the top of 4th but racing in 5th is pointless and utterly stupid if you plan on keeping your motor..
