Default shifter problems

Recently i installed a b&m edge shifter on my 2k gsr. Now i have been noticing a rattling noise coming from under the car when i reach 3500 rpms. I looked all over underneath the car and can't find where the rattling is coming from. The noise is driving me crazy. I remember hearing about something similar to this problem but couldn't come up with anything when i did a search. I also installed a set of energy suspension bushings when i was installing the shifter. But if anyone else has a similar problem or has heard of a solution to this please reply before the noise drives me to insanity. Thanks.

because of the way the B&M edge is made it rattles like that, i have one and i have the Nuespeed shift bushings. mine did the same thing and so did everyone else i know that has one. 2 things you can do, 1) make sure the bolt going through the shifter is tightened all the way down, 2) go get a couple more o-rings and install them next to the other ones on the bolt to give less play. hope that helps

In'tristing...I have a Ractive kit, and it rattles around 3500 rpm as well. It's definitely the shifter-just a sympathetic resonance of some kind. It just happens with some shifters on some cars. I really don't know how to eliminate it. Come spring (when it's warm enough for me to work on the car again ) I'm going to play around with some shims (rubber or polyurethane) to see if I can tighten up the shifter and/or eliminate the rattling noise.

The Integra must just have a resonant point @ 3500 rpm. I wonder if motor mount inserts or shifter stabilizer bushings would change this at all. Prob'ly just make it worse.

I've heard suggestions that proper tightening and lubrication work wonders. I know for a fact that mine did not buzz for months after it was first installed. When it's warm enough out, I'm going back under the car for another lube and tightening!
