By any chance did you add adjustable cam gears with your "turbo gasket"? I am betting you are using a thicker headgasket and did not use cam gears to compensate for it. If you dont your cam timing will be off.

you can degree your cams. most likely a thicker headgasket would put what was 0,0 to maybe -1,-1. To decrease overlap, increase the separation of the cams, such as 0ex, -1intake. A dyno is the only way to find what will actually work on your car. Good luck
