Where did all the oil go!?!?!?!?!?!?!
This has happened to me twice now:
I have 6 quarts of oil in my turbo H22. I have 300 miles home one day, drive around town the next two days. The oil pressure is fine through all that driving. Then I start my 300 mile drive back. I'm driving, done about 200 miles, and then
I notice that my oil pressure is really low. Then oil light flickers. I pull over and check the engine level. The engine is DRY!!! I check for oil dripping...none. I check for oil in the exhaust....none. Where the hell did all that oil go!?!?!?! When this happened the first time, I thought my turbo seals had gone and the oil get burned up through the turbo. Looks like that wasn't the problem afterall. I think I have a bad oil pump (almost no pressure (0-5psi) when at idle after the car is warm), but where could all that damn oil have gone?

The oil fairy came and stole it all....
If your motor is bone dry I dont think the oil pump is to blame.. Are you sure you dont have a hole in the oil pan and/or your return line isnt leaking or something..

I stole it! Its at my house. (evil laugh)
Really, though- there is no way you could burn 6qts in 500 miles without smoking the whole road up. You have a leak somewhere.

I don't have any oil leaks and even if I did, it would have to be one hell of a leak to lose 6 quarts.

Check the radiator for what? Oil in my coolant? I don't have a blown headgasket.

This has happened to me twice and I'm stumped. Like I said before, the first time it happened, I thought it was the turbo. I even had the **** rebuilt...what a waste of money.

I did not say you had a blown headgasket. We gust had a problem with a block that the oil passage cracked letting all the oil into the coolent passage.
