your system is $80 dollars but i would still have to get a short ram. after you do the math its not so much cheaper.

I agree w/ Dragon on this issue...you get just as much hp gain from puttin a drop in K&N in your stock air box, and removing the resonator. but that wouldn't be as "cool" would it
*shakes head*

I have always thought that a Ram air system would perform better. However, Dragon if you can get a California Air Resorces Board Executive Order number I will gladly put on one that is why I will choose AEM. Not the CAI cause I don't think that the risk is worth it but AEM for the CARB EO number.

Click on the link for manufacturers to bring you to the specific spot on the page.

Edit: and I do plan on getting the AEM short ram......just waiting for someone to sell them under 100......cause for now steel braided brake lines seem more appealing than the intake......

Look what I bought yesterday! https://honda-tech.com/zerothread?id=104809

It's a ram-air "type" scoop. I plan on modding it slightly.

cold air is not the major issue, the resonant tuning of the long pipe of the AEM style intake is!

notice the peaks at 2250, 4500, and 6750 rpm.

This happens to be the 4th, 5th, and 6th transversal.
Just a little wave action in effect. Now by shortening the piping by say 2-3" the middle peak may move to about 5500-6000 rpm, right were you need it.

BTW I don't know a damn thing about what I'm talking abot, but I slept in MY bed last night. (Joke aimed at BDC)
