When installing my new act ss disk I gave it a heavy soaking of brake cleaner to make sure it was all clean. Some people say this is not good and will cause the clutch to slip. The brake fluid manufacturer says it is ok to spray clutch disks. Does anyone have any knowledge of this?

thanks... feel better now... I did find out that the act paint on the pp does not like brake fluid though

 

I would always spray any clutch disc with brakleen before putting it in.. Even with a new one, you dont know if some moron at the manufacturing plant put his fingers on the disc or pressure plate..

Just spray it with some brakleen and wipe it down with a terry cloth towel..
