ok guys help me decide what to do here. I just got an LS block, crank, and rods, all in good shape. I plan on building a motor now. Ill probably go with a simple ls/vtec setup. This is basically just gonna be for practice, hopefully i'll build something thats not gonna blow up, and when im done im gonna drop it in my civic and see what happens. Anyway, what pistons should i go with? What would be the downfall of using say a set of used GSR pistons and rods? My plans are to use a stock b16 or gsr head, i dont plan on modding the valvetrain at all. Should i go with p72, p30, ITR or CTR pistons? i know the ctr will give me a very high CR, and since i really dont plan on doing cams, what would work best and make the most power with this simple setup? As for tuning, ill probably just get an adjustable FPR and a vafc to give it the fuel its gonna need. Give me some ideas here. Thanks.
