Accord "95 antenna problem. It wouldnt go all the way up, makes grinding noise.
Today in the morning i noticed that when i turn on the radio (stock), the antenna in my 95 accord LX doesn't go all the way up, instead it freezes at half way point and smth (the motor?) makes grinding noise, but it does go inside (with grinding noise at the end). I couldn't find on google pictured replacement instructions. I checked ebay, the stock antenna (with the motor) runs ~40$ shipped. Any tips, links from you guys? May be i don't need the whole antenna replaced?
Thanks. Your help is appreciated.

You need to replace the entire antenna actuator in the trunk/quarter panel...its an easy diy...or you can go with the S2000 antenna swap
does it fit easily? Is it motorized also? I've checked on ebay, there are few kinds of s2000 antennas in the range 20-30$. Here is one:

Is it gonna fit my 95' accord?

you don't need a new antenna or anything.
Last night was the coldest night in nyc this season; your antenna was just frozen. Let the car sit in the sun for a while, after making sure to have lowered the antenna all the way when you shut the radio off even if you have to lower it with your hand after turning off the car.
The next time you turn on your radio, it should go up fine....and tomorrow morning, just play the cd for a while till it heats up a bit
