I'm thinking of doing this swap, but i want to have it for a couple of years.

Try searching, this has been covered already.

vtec man...and yes they are if properly done and if they are broken in at least 300-500 miles be4 u get into it fully. dont forget to tap oil feed!! good luck

LSVTECs are reliable if put together properly. A half assed job, or using an old LS block with out changing oil pump, will wear out quick.

you have to provide the right oiling for the VTEC setup to work right.
