my 92 prelude si seems to always seems to slip[ when i stop and go at a stop light ....its very sensitive so i was wonderin if this goes for all preludes...my friend had told me once that preludes have bad axels and faced the same problem when he owned one.....so is there a way to fix this withought getting lsd

people have 400whp cars on stock prelude axles, mine have always been reliable

 

Well, my inner driver's-side CV boot has been replaced twice on my 1998 SH if that has anything to do with anything.

slips??? i've never heard of a axle slippin...

 

I think he is implying that he is loosing traction when accelerating away from a stop.

And axles don't slip.

very true.

when does it "slip"? when you are letting off the clutch in first? if so it's probably your clutch slipping, unless you have an automatic... do you have trouble shifting?

 

its always been my understanding that honda axles are very good

 

Preludes have the awesome stock axles that will support up to 500whp.
Replacing cv boots was probably due to a rip or hole in the boot on the 5th gen.

I quess your talking about traction when you say slippage? Yes a LSD helps aid in traction, but you can still spin the tires.

Ive got 2 bad CV joints I heard somthing about a bad rear mount can cause problems with axles I donno if it is true or not.
