I bought three and put one on a stock b16a1 and a sec gen b16 with rs cams with hondata and a cold air. The header made my sec gen pull much harder all the way to redline. The header makes power. The only problem is the fitment kinda sucks. Sorry no dyno yet , the hondata was tuned for a similiar application on a different b16 of mine. Overall the header is a good deal.

REALLY!!!

when I changed my oil, my motor did the same thing!!! It pull harder than all the way to redline. But sorry, no dyno # since its in my head right now.

Seriously, overall syntec oil is mad-tight yO!

I prefer the syntec blend.

Seems like a good header for the price.

I could of sworn these headers were just like the ones everyone was complaining about. Same theory but different manufacture. He even talked about his header in a test that he did were it lost power compared to the stock typer 4-1. Someone can dig up the archive about it.

I believe the ones that people complained about only came in black paint finish or stainless steel so these aren't the same since they come ceramic coated. Also if you look closely, the other ones have spot welds on the outside primaries where the JSR ones are fully welded both outside and in. The bolt holes seem to be better placed on the JSR ones and don't come out to the edge of the flange as much either ( based on the pics I saw).

BTW, care to comment on what part of the JSR header doesn't fit? I'm interested in buying this piece but if fitment is way off, I'll have to think twice.

Look in your local Rcycler if available. I bought my Type R header for $200 w/Shields. These copy headers are never the same quality, not even close. It may look like it on the outside, but the sharp edges and poor welds on the inside tell a different story.

It's for B-series so yes. The blocks all have the same bolt pattern for the header.

that's interesting because the bolt pattern for the header is on the head, not the block...

Yeah, you are right, I have blocks on the brain, been looking for one for the last 5 hours. Doesn't change the part where the bolt pattern is the same.

yeah, you're right, but if the header is designed for say a b16, you might have a hard time putting it onto a b18, since the block is taller...

and vice versa, if its designed for a b18, you might run into ground clearance problems on a b16...

actually, it is on the block, the longblock that is....so he wasn't wrong with what he said.
