Default HELP: auto tranny is locked

hi, the auto shifter is locked, anybody can help me out plz? the button won't go in

it has a lil button u could press when that happens is like by where p " PARK"

there should be a key slot or sum'n like that u , u guessed it , insert a key and press down while trying to shift out of P, should unlock

Yeah, the shift lock override SHOULD work, but do you have any idea why it locked up in the first place? Low on tranny fluid?

BTW, I seriously grow tired of you guys with nothing to add. Wouldn't happen if he had a manual? Who the **** cares. Then his ISB would go out like the rest of HT.

Yeah once you get the shifter unlocked drive straight to have your tranny looked at. It's most likely not a good thing it locked up.

well after i did my intake install the tb was was causing my tranny to lock up.. (the cable that runs to the tranny from the throttle rotor was too tight)

there is a switch solenoid in the shifter.. its controlled by the ignition and the brake pedal switch.. could be those too...
