For some odd reason my idle keeps jumping. It's normal then jumps to 1500 then drops back to normal then jumps back to 1500 for awhile then goes back to normal...I find that it happens more when I dont warm up my car. It just started doing this a couple of days ago. Any Suggestions? I scraped the bottom of my car a couple of days ago...after that, thats when it started happening.

 

Sounds like the Idle Control Valve

 

My friend's B18 EG does that too... it's been doing that for a while now, I just haven't bothered to look at it since the swap this summer. I'll watch this thread for any ideas.

 

My GSR was doing that till I took off the Idle controll valve and soaked it in carb cleaner. now it runs fine and no Idle surge. Just try that and see how it works.

 

I have a 94 Civic EX Coupe, if anyone with a 92-95 Coupe could post a pic of what the IACV looks like i'd greatly appreciate it. That way I can take it off and clean it and see if that does the trick. I dont wanna have someone else do it if I can do it myself..
