Default Lifespan of OEM Honda rods

Will a set of OEM Honda rods weaken after a long period of time? Especially of they've seen a history of some abuse? Reason I ask - The previous owner didn't treat the engine very well, since then it has been rebuilt, but are my rods weaker than they were new? I've got a set of LS rods with ARP rod bolts.. I rev to 8k, Bottom end has been balanced. I've been thinking about getting a set of crower rods in there just in case... will that be neccessary?

That should answer that question.

Now with personal experience, I've reused a set of rods which had roughly 40,000 miles on it. I never had a problem with it. Even when my oil gear locked up the rods were still fine. Lucky I guess.
