92-95 SI gauge cluster in CX hatchback, fuel gauge question
I installed a SI gauge cluster into my CX hatchback a long time ago and the fuel gauge hasn't ever reached full (F) I noticed it the first time I fueled up, its always about 3/4 full when the tank will take no more fuel at the pump, has anyone else had this kind of "problem" (I guess you can call it more of an annoyance) I wasn't sure if maybe its because the CX has a 10 gallon tank whereas all the other models have the 11.9 gallon tank.. if this would somehow cause the gauge cluster to read less when the tank is full? i've been meaning to post but keep forgetting, just wondering if anyone else noticed the same thing in a CX hatchback?
thanks, thats what i figured, and remembered to post it today driving below E! so.. the gauge isn't just moved "lower" its actually on E..
A little off topic, but will an Ex gas tank fit on a Cx. I doubt that there'd be any difference in the undercarriages, but you never know.

You are WRONG. Only because the guage that reads wether or not the gas tank is full or empty is inside the gas tank. I have a CX hatch also. I put in a si cluster and when i fill my gas up the needle goes all the way up to full. the cluster is not your problem unless the gas needle gets stuck before it reaches full.

I remember seeing a thread where a couple people were saying they had swapped to an EX/Si gas tank for the added capacity. I don't think any modification were needed for it to fit but I can't find the thread it was in though, sorry.
thanks for the info guys!

yeah... i guess some people care about fuel economy and stuff.. i don't normally come to the "EG+ Civic / Del Sol" forum.. so im stuck in the all motor / drag racing mind. smaller tank = go faster
