is it possible to put 6.5'' tires on a 7'' wheel? i recently bought some 15'' yokohama 195/55 es100's and put them on my Si rims, but I was looking at getting some 15x7 rims and didnt want to get new tires, would my current tires fit on the new rims?

si wheels are 15x6 et45... that tire size will fit on a x7" rim but it would round at the edges... hope that helps

so having round edges would decrease the handling, correct? as well as look funny. does anyone have pictures of what it would look like?

it would look similar to how lowriders fit tires on their wheels, as well as the euro look... tire is thinner than the rim... i guess handling decreases... less possible patch on the road... and a sidewall that isn't perpendicular to the rim... sorry no pics

I saw a tuner(Signal maybe?)in a mag. who used that sizing method on one of their uber-cars to reduce understeer and break the rears loose with more control/predictability. The rears were the only ones fitted this way, however.

i would suggest waiting so u can get proper fitment 205/50s.
i did roll 195/50s on x7 rims in the back at one time and it didnt look too bad...
