b16a camcaps
I am rebuilding my b16a SiRII motor. I am using SiR I camcaps however. The guy who did my machine work said that he attempted to line bore them i guess, but he didnt think he had the right tool or something. He suggested putting a sheet of computer paper inbetween the cam caps and the head (.003"). Should i really do this? Wont the paper disintegrate leaving me with a camcap that isnt down to torque? Is there even a difference between SiR I and SiR II cam caps?
Thanks,
Aaron

it has to be a perfectly round hole! it doesnt matter what caps you use but the hole has to be round which is y you can not mix and match caps without line boring the holes. i would take it to someone to check the bores of the cams. If it is egg shapped or out of round it is gonna cuase you problems when you put it together! kinda like having a rod or crank journal that is egg shaped,
IT WONT LAST !!!!!!!!!!
