Toda B or C?? ok with B18cR with PCT pistons??
hey guys... i tried a search but couldnt find anything specific....
trying to figure out what cams everyone here runs with their B18cR together with PCT (CTR) pistons ???? basically i'm looking at getting some wilder cams, and am wondering would TODA B/ C be ok with regards to clearance seeing as it's got some high lift and duration??
any other cams you guys recommend?
basic setup at the moment is JDM B16B, stroked to 1800 (using P72) crank and rods balanced, PCT pistons, standard headgasket...
any help would be greatly appreciated.

tell me how your set up turnning out, i'm putting together some pct ctr piston, with sk2 stg 2 cams, not quite done buy my stuff yet....i'm kinda iffy on this cuss i been seeing too much discussion about how high of a compression i'm going to get from this in my b17 motor
? to you, i'm planning to get some p72 rods, will that go well with my stock b17 crank?
sorrie, not trying to steal you thread...just asking you some question

b16b/ b18c/ b18c5 are all going to end up the same with p72 rods and crank + pct pistons.
This is a
combo and good for 200whp with spec b's, spec c's, jun 3's, etc...
Make sure you have a way to tune it, however.....

i would definetely clay that motor and check for clearances. with those domes and that set of cams, they will be tight. i wouldnt advance the todas any farther then a couple degrees ..if that. Will definetely be a strong setup when tuned.
im doing the same set up here wat toda racing told me "Thank you for your e-mail and interest in TODA Racing. The only way to properly determine how much room you have for adjustment is to clay the engine. While you'll be ok as far as clearance goes if the camshafts are at zero (no adjustment), you might have very little room for adjustment with those pistons, this is why it's recommended to clay the engine. By claying the engine you're essentially creating a map of how much room you have - for example after claying you'll discover you can advance/retard cam timing by 3 degrees. But without claying your setup, there's no way to safely know this"
