hood hitting engine.... please help
you could put some washers or spacers on the bolts on the motor mounts so the motor fits lower or you could just cut the webbing out from under the hood where it hits
don't cut the webbing, it's there for structural integrity. i would just bang it w/ a hammer, so you just dent the webbing, keeping most of the strength. you could also heat it w/ a torch then hammer, but that will most likely ruin the paint.

If your motor mounts are shot, this will happen. I have seen a motor where the stud that connects to the mount was stripped out of the side of the block and this caused it to hit the hood too.
when i bought my hood for my del sol they said this would happen to a hatch with a b18. My homeboy had the ***** to cut the VIS webbing and then re re-inforce it around the cuts he made with glass. Or just pop it up from the back.

If I were you Id just remove the hood and drive around like that.

Cant do much about it, you got the Bseries non friendly hood. Your going to need to cut the webbing, and probably get hood pins. If you dont cut the webbing it will crack over time.

It's a known problem with VIS hoods. https://honda-tech.com/zerothread?id=572161
hmm, i doubt its the hood. i got a cf hood with a bseries in my ej1 with no hitting problems.
i would check the mounts like someone else mentioned.

civics were designed more for a b16....the b18 has a taller block by a mm or 2, i ran into the same problem with my swap, i'm about to grind down the under side of the hood in the 2 spots mine hits
my bros hood touches on the left front corner(if looking open hood into the engine bay)on the valve cover(stock hood with a b18 in an EH)Its not a huge spot or anything but definatly touches.
Same problem with mine, two rub spots on the valve cover. '92 CX with a 94 B18C1 and a VIS OEM style CF hood. Gonna break out the cutting tool to remedy this.
