headlight bulb recommendation
i was wondering if yall think the sylvania cool blues or whatever theyre called are a good improvement from the standard 9006 bulb or should i look into doing the 9006->9005 conversion? im basically looking to improve the amount and quality of light without dishin out for an HID kit. thanks.

haha thats what i hear. maybe if i get in a front end accident that isnt my fault i can get the jdm front with hid! until then, either of the two will have to suffice.

i have found that the cool blue and othe white light junk most often gives less light, i have ended up going back to standard halogen after almost sliding into a pole after not being able to see the road. Hopefully will be able to soon get some H.I.D.'s

if you're not willing to spend the $$ on HID then your next best option in terms of more light output is def the 9005 conversion. i used the ss's and the coolblues in 9005 conversion. the ss's put out more white light but burn out too damn quickly. the cool blues are def a better value...1/2 the $$ of the ss's. they aren't blue at all but they look more yellow than the ss's. both are a def improvement over stock 9006. i had the ss's for about 8 months and i tried the cool blues and they lasted for almost a year and 1/2.
maybe ck out those 9012 bulbs. supposedly a direct fit into the 9006 socket. more light output then the 9005 conversion too...and they have 9006 bulb life..sounds like a pretty good bet..havent seen them myself..but i know theyre out there.

thanks for the info guys. like i said before hid isnt an option for me right now, so im gonna look into those 9012 bulbs mentioned above, and if not that ill try the 9005 conversion.
