Default tranny problems

since i've owned my civic hatch, bought in june 04, there has been an issue shifting it. its an si da6a6 w/ si tranny, when i push the clutch in i wont be able to shift into any gear for about five seconds. however when i am at driving at speed it doesnt affect me when going through the gears 2-5 (only slightly harder to shift) I'm clueless on where to start and what to replace... clutch, tranny, cable..?

make sure your clutch cable is adjusted properly..
if that does not work try GM syncro mesh

ive adjusted the clutch cable many times to both loose and tight deflection, but it doesnt seem to make any difference besides the height of the pedal when the clutch engages. i dont think it has to do with fluid and trying to figure out what component is damaged...

dont go with GM syncro mesh unless your **** is grinding already. Umm, have you had ANY times whel you went over a curb or a parking curb or maybe ran over an animal or soem ****? your shift linkage may be a tad bit off, but thats a long shot.

could be your synchros, or maybe something wrong with your final drive?

sounds like you have pinned it down to a transmission issue.
