Default boreing a ls block to 82mm safe?

i did a search and could not find what i was looking for. just want to know if anyone has bored .40 over and is it safe. i will be reving to 8.5k and want to make 200 whp thanks.

honda says that 82mm is the max for stock sleeves, so yeah, you should be fine

tensile stress rises at the square (2nd power) of engine rpm. 100=1000. youre asking a set of compromised cylinder walls to handle a LOT of sideloading and piston slap.

i wouldnt do it on a block that isnt posted, and i wouldnt do it on the stock 1.54 R/S ratio.. maybe .137" long rods.

ls blocks are plentiful. buying 82 mm pistons is an expensive way to find out.
