well for the jackasses, thats exactly why i wanted to know. i didn't see why someone would modify the factory location of the exhaust but if it had a purpose then maybe i should know about it. thanks for the positive/helpful replies.
I think they are slanted to help keep them from scraping on the ground . Say your backing out or driving our of a slanted drive way and if the tip of the muffler is slanted up your less likely to scrape it in the ground.
This is my theory behind it: The stock exhausts usually sit up higher and dont stick out as much as the aftermarket ones do.
