Default need clutch help quick

so i get in my car this morning. It has been sitting in my driveway since 12 last night and it was driving fine last night. Anyway, I start to back up and as im taking my foot off the clutch, it feels weird. The clutch used to catch a few inches off of the floor and now it catches barely a half inch off the floor. Could the cold weather have loosened somethign somewhere? I'm really hoping nothing has to be replaced becuase after this holiday season there is barely any money left. Anyone have any ideas cause this is my sole source of transportation at the moment?

Most likely you're losing clutch fluid. Look at the reservoir in the engine bay and see if it's low. Check the master cylinder and slave cylinder (master near the clutch pedal, slave cylinder on the transmission in the front of the engine bay, at least on my 92).

If the fluid level is low, you may have to replace the master + slave cylinders and bleed the clutch fluid.

i checked the fluid level and it was empty. Im not sure how long the tank had been empty but it was. also i noticed a little bit of fluid under the dash by the master cylinder. I guess it should be replaced. Is this something that has to be done soon? or can i just keep putting more fluid if it goes low until i get it fixed?

I would think you can just keep filling as for now and try to replace the parts as soon as you can. It can hurt the mechanism/engagement of clutch and tranny, I think, if left as is for too long.
