my 91 accord just broke down yesterday night

its had a JUMPY rpm for the last two weeks, jumping up to 6000, someone said it was a timing belt problem

last night i tried a cold start, but it wouldnt' fire and the battery and tranny light is on

i just had a new alternator put in... ideas?

 

did it crank at least? open the hood to see..

the rpm problem i would say tranny, but with a broken tranny the car still starts but doesnt move.

do the hood thing first.

 

is it shifting back and forth between gears when the rpms go up?

 

its not changing back down gears, just the rpm jumps everywhere when i start to rev it

yeah it ignites but aint firing.

 

does this happend anytime or day, humm relay?
