Default NEED FRONT HUB ASSEMBLY HELP!!!!

Ok. The other day, with my caR in the air, I noticed that the front pass side wheel/hub assembly had a pretty good amount of play in it, about 4-5mm. Now I just replaced the wheel bearings about 3k ago and have not noticed any typical blown wheel bearing noises or felt any kinds of vibrations what-so-ever. All the bolts are tight and everything is where it is suppesed to be. Neither the upper or lower balljoints are lose, but if you grab rotor and rock it the play is just isolated to the actual hub assembly. The caliper and the dust shield stay fixed. I removed the axle nut to see if that would affect the amount of movement but it did not. It seem like the only thing left is the bearing, but I am not sure. Has this ever happened to anyone before? Any help would be much appreciated. Thanks.

Under hard braking does your steering wheel shake?

Nope, no shaking.

After a little more investigation, it looks like the bearing has come lose from the hub. I can see it moving around when I move the hub. can they jsut pop out of place?

Not if the bearing was pressed in correctly.

I installed two new front wheel bearings 10k miles ago, and they are perfect.

I agree with Opie, it was most likely installation error, I can't see a new bearing, dying in 3k miles

cool, great pics and explaination.

Question - is it possible that the c-clip is either broken or out of place and that is why the bearing is so lose? and is it possible for the c-clip to be gone all together or just floating around in-between the hub and the bearing?
