quieting my exhaust
ok I got dual DT Sports on my 03 accord and i got the resonator taken off so that its louder. i like that its loud but i dont like how its loud on the inside of the car. are there any cheap ways to quiet to how the exhaust sounds inside the car without having to quiet the exhaust

im pretty sure it would. i see people put that kinda stuff in their doors and in the floors to keep sound out. like just regular road noise from tires and all. i wish someone else would put their 2 cents in and let us know. but thats the only thing i would know of. theres all kinds of brands out there. dynamat is just the first i thought of.

here's a tip...
take those "dual DT sports" off your poor accord and put a respectable full exhaust system on it.
either via KTeller8 or via the internet (like apex world sport or similar)
that crap you have on it now is just ricey fart mufflers.
although I still think the best thing you can do for your car is sell it and get a huffy.
or maybe something like this...you can put the mufflers in the basket

dynamat can make a huge difference... but for it to really work, you'd need to dynamat at least your doors and the floor. doing the whole car can get expensive though, and to save a little bit of the costs, i would recommend doing the job yourself.
i applied dynamat to nearly every square foot of my old car ('88 accord), back when i had access to a virtually unlimited supply (all 4 doors, floor, rear deck, trunk lid, hood, rear panels, and trunk floor and tire well. underside of hood required a specific kind of dynamat). it was a night and day difference. the road noise was reduced to levels comparable to a lexus... when i shut the doors or trunk, they sounded more solid.
the downside to it all... it added a lot of weight. a lot of people out there remove all the sound deadening material from their car to save weight... applying dynamat is exactly the opposite.

WTF is "dual DT Sports?"
If you wanna complain about the sound, you shouldnt have taken the resonator off. Take the exhaust back to Autozone and see if they have any suggestions.

The weight added from the sound deadening material is so miniscule it wouldn't make a difference

I've been a member for a very short time... and damn these posts are rediculous.
But anyways, dynamat works very well for all noise types... To save some money though dont dynamat the entire car just make sure to wrap it around your exhaust/header and update us on the results.
