idle control vavle
On a 94 acura integra gs-r is there 1 or 2 pipes leading to the idle control vavle?
because the only pipe coming off of my IM is 1 pipe it is a vacumm hose but i wasnt sure if that was it or not any help?

The IAC valve should be bolted directly to the back of the intake manifold, so there aren't really any air hoses going to it. (Just a wiring harness.) Air flows thru channels in the manifold & throttle body.
What's it doing wrong? Surging idle? You can also clean the fast-idle thermo valve (FITV) which is underneath the throttle body. That should have coolant hoses.

if the idle is surging when the engine is cold, the FITV (located directly under the throttle body, and held by 3 bolts.) is usually the culprit. to test for it, remove your intake piping and start the engine, when it begins revving plug the hole in the throttle-body @ about 8 o' clock. if the idle goes normal the you'll need to self-adjust your FITV. Engine vibrations cause a part inside the FITV to unscrew itself. it's as easy as screwing it back in. remove the FITV and disconnect the coolant line running to it. once completley removed. you will need to use a phillips head to remove a copper cap. then this cyndrical piece inside should be screwed back in. (all the way untill the valve closes) Then re-install.
