Does anyone know where I could get a detachable steering wheel?
Does anyone know where I could get a detachable steering wheel for a honda crx?
I went on http://www.snapoff.com but it does'nt show where to but it. I would research more on the net but I'm a soldier in Iraq and I don't get very much computer time. So if any one could get websites for me that would that could be cool. thanks

Are you looking for something to work with the OEM wheel, or are you looking for something that will work with an aftermarket wheel? I'm not aware of any products that will easily work with the OEM wheel, but you have several options for aftermarket wheels. All (or nearly all) of the Sparco, Momo, and OMP steering wheels have the same bolt pattern and use the same type of hub adapter to mount to the car's steering column. The easiest way to do this is to buy a hub adapter for your car that bolts to the large bolt on the steering column that holds your OEM wheel on, then install a quick-release between the hub adapter and your aftermarket steering wheel. There are other ways to do this (most of which are cheaper but require some welding skills and are not easily undone) but this way is the easiest.
Here's a pic of my hub and quick release adapter in the CRX:

I ordered my quick relase off of ebay after seeing the same unit sold on numerous web sites for much more money. It's basically this one: http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors...33704
but in my install I didn't use the horn adapter since I don't need it.
Hope you get back to Tucson soon. The weather's great

I find that having a nonfunctional fuel gauge helps to keep your mind focused on something during those longer races

lol, I can picture it now: "So lets see here, duty cycle times flow rate times density of fuel.... carry the two.... OH NO! I'm not gonna make it!" *Goes off to avoid embarrasment of running out of fuel on the last lap.
