lug nuts... HELP
I lost the key to my aftermaket lugs that were on the car when i bought it.
(yeah yeah i know its funny)
any bright ideas how to get them off ????
BTW car is undrivable so i cant take it anywere
I am assuming you mean the locking type of wheel nut ? I once lost the key to my locking wheel nuts and I had one locking nut on each wheel, I had to get a chisel in at the right angle and knock them anti clockwise carefully but firmly with a hammer until they released their grip, just be careful not to damage the wheel if possible, the locking wheel nuts will be damaged but as you've no key they are useless anyway and will have to come off. The only other way is if you know the locking wheelnut key code number, and send off to the manufacturer for a replacement.
i broke my key off on mine, I went to the Goodyear Gemini to get my tires balanced and they took it off within 5 mins with a tool....

somewhat close to what they used...all you have to do is get a hammer and force the teeth into the lug and then just remove it like any other lug
