Default Just changed rotor button and now the car will not start???

I swapped out the rotor button on my car for a new one and it started up ran for about 5 seconds and then shut down. It will not fire back up now and I swapped the old rotor button back in there just to make sure and it still wont fire up. Did my coil just go bad or what?

yeah that is what I mean we called them rotor button down in the dirty south. Yeah that is all I did changed that out for a new one that I got from the Acura dealership it started up and then died. I mean I also changed the oil and filter and the front brake discs. But I dont think that has alot to do with the car not starting up.

i know this is a real retarded question...but when doing the oil change you did remember to refill it with new oil, yes?

when you took off the new rotor, was it still screwed in, or did it come loose? (loose rotors = not so good for motor)

Did you take loose the plug wires? Maybe you plugged them back in the wrong spots?

Nope just did a resistance check on my coil and it failed the secondary resistance readings. The primary check read right on the limit and the secondary check read low so Im thinking it should be the coil that went bad.

Do Checkers or Autozone cary these coils. Im thinking probably not and how much do they normally go for?

It was the coil and I got a new one from Checkers anyone ever had a problem with those? I also got to get some new screws the ones that hold the wires to the coil. Mine are completely stripped now.

Well its not much that you can do when you need a part so you can drive your car and the dealership isnt open at 7:00 at night on a Saturday. So you got to do what you got to do and that is get a part from Checkers
