Default Tranny Cooler Question

I have a tranny cooler installed on my Automatic Tranny (i've had it for about two years)

Whenever my car has been sitting for a while (say overnight and the engine is completely cold) after I start up my car and start driving, if I accelerate quickly it makes an odd feel.

when the tranny is shifting from 1st to 2nd the rpms go up normaly, but right before it shifts at about 4.5k it quickly goes up about .5k rpms and then shifts. it doesn't feel normal because it's not engaged when it goes up, but only happens when my car is cold.

I was thinking I need to wait til my car warms up because the tranny isn't up to operating temp?? I dunno

I have a bad feeling in the back of my mind that it my be the reason that my last tranny died (begining of summer) but maybe i'm just being too paranoid.

Help me out.

WHat year is your car?

My 6th gen, whenit started slipping, would overshoot its normal shiftpoint, seem to lose power, and then shift again....

You might be ok. Just check your AT fluid and see how it's fairing. If the problem is serious, i'd just take it to the dealer.

my 94 did that, i tried changing the atf, flushing it, but it progressively got worst to the point that id have to shift the shifter, and then to the point where my car wouldnt move in any gear besides reverse. this was with a tranny cooler, msd rpm window switch and about 2 yrs or so of steady nitrous usage.

it was a good excuse for me to do a manual conversion, i figured if i bought another user auto tranny some time down the line the same **** would happen so i put forth the extra work on the manual conversion although it was a pain in the ***

well if it does that then it means its sliping. try not to do that a lot. my f22a tranny did it on 2nd to 3rd gear. but only if it shifted over th e3.5k. bellow that it was ok. neddles to say i kept doing it then after 5 months it went out. lol. and the tranny cooler its only good for summer times. its not good for winter.
