i haven't found any simple concrete answers for these, so insetead of referencing a lot of information and still not knowing, i'm just going to ask.

91 crx, 15x6.5 45mm offset wheel

what tire size do i want? 225/45 or 205/50

will a 225/45 fit on a crx in that offset? rears too?
is 6.5 too small for the 225, even though it seems the itr/millenia guys don't mind?
not worth the extra drag/rolling resistance on the 225?
etc.?

while part of this is a fitment thing, i'm most interested in emperical evidence w/opinions on the setup.

there have been a few threads like this recently, but i haven't seen or found anything specific or concrete enough.

6.5's will work fine with a 225. It's not ideal, but it'll work, and it'll be faster than 205's on an autocross course. A +45 wheel might rub on the inside front and almost definitely on the inside of the rears, but my reference point is my car with +42 6.5" wheels so a CRX may be different.

 

depends on the tires and suspension but I would not go beyond 205's for a rex usually

i want to get some real world emperical opinions on the 225/15's on an h1 crx.
