Default D16Z6 CRX will it run with OBD0 PR3 or PW0?

I want to swap in a D16Z6 in my 88 crx dx and have a p28 ecu but was wondering if a pr3 or pwo that is already OBD0 work for vtec instead of spending 125 or a OBD0 to OBD1 jumper? thanks

yes they will work but since you have a dx you will have to rewire because you currently only have 2 injectors. you will also need to and a fuel injector resistor and the wiring for the vtec, knock sensor and 2nd o2 sensor.

I know I will have to convert to MPFI from my current DPFI. I also would like to know the VTEC switch point and redline of the P28, PR3, and PW0 ecus? Thanks

when i had a z6 i was running a zdyne 1 wire conversion that was burned to factory b16 maps and mine ran fine a little rich but passed emissions i think the p28 turns on at 5000 and the b16 around 4500 i'm not a 100% positive though

I read that the PR3 would need 2 o2 sensors hooked up, does the PW0 need 2 also? If so I would rather spend to get the jumper and use the correct P28 I already have.

pwo also needs a 2nd o2 sensor. going with a obd1 conversion and using a p28 will give you better options on programs than the pwo or pr3.
