R3S04 w/ ITR: Please describe your setup.
To those ITR owners who use Hoosier R3S04s for Trackdays or racing: Please list your tire pressures; camber and toe. Also please mention if these settings have provided reasonable wear. My setup is as follows:
Camber: front -2.5; rear -1.5
Toe: 1/16" total toe out
Tire pressure: front 37 cold rear 35 cold (hot pressures not available)
The front tires had a very short life (corded toward the inside on both fronts). I am planning to change the front camber to -2.0 and increase the front cold temp to 40, and invest in a pyrometer.

Higher pressure will use more of the inside shoulder. I also experienced rapid inner shoulder wear, but this was on an autocross EF with the A3S04s. The tires are mounted on an 8.5" wide wheel, and there was 2.7 degrees negative camber and 4.5 degrees positive caster. I did pyrometer readings early in the season, and at the time I had 3.2 degrees negative. I measured inner shoulder temps that were 20-30 degrees higher than the outside, with the center right between. Even after reducing the camber, I still had trouble with the inner shoulder wearing much more quickly than the outside.
I will be starting next season with 2.2 to 2.3 degres negative, and I'll be using a more aggressive rear brake pad, as I suspect my braking was not up to snuff, and was locking up the fronts (short locks, but locked none the less) more often than I'd like.

Thanks very much for your response. It's good to know that increased pressure will promote wear on the inside shoulder. Would you mind telling me what brand of pyrometer you use, and if you are pleased with it?
