thanks man. i don't know that much about crxs. i like the si's but i don't want to get scammed on it, you know i could be buying a hf or dx with an si sticker on it. you feel me?
the factory sunroof is pretty much the tell sign its an Si. some dealers put aftermarket pop up moonroofs on other models, but not the same thing.
yes its POSSIBLE to install the factory sunroof on any other car, or remove the sunroof and reskin the roof, but highly unlikely worth scamming anyone...
Si and HF is night and day differences in terms of performance as far as crx' are concerned. you shouldnt be able to mistake the two.

hey man. welcome.
before you get flamed, use the search feature. (top right)
make sure you search the archived articles and type in something like
"crx differences" in the ef forum. you'll find everything you want to know.
power sunroof is the least of your worries, it really is a night and day difference in car design theory between the two models, with the S port I njection being the performance based car and the H igh F uel being the super econo box. there are many differences between the two in every respect of the car- from motor to brakes, to suspension to interior trim. hella fast is the last way i'd ever attempt to describe a stock hf. but the hf is the lightest and with a swap and the right suspension bits it can be....blah blah blah ---SEARCH!---
to make it easy for you rigt now since you seem new to this- if want a cool, fun, and relatively inexpensive car to drive and work on a little, get the si. you'll love it. i still have two of them.
if you have lots of money, know nothing about cars, and heard a swapped hf is the best thing since recess, go buy a different car. really. it is, but even a nicely done already swapped car is more than you can or will want to deal with right now, and everyday maintenence hassles will ruin your life. and i don't want to be the "it's too fast for you guy", but if you are fairly new to driving as well, it probably is.
edit- just noticed that yer 20. never mind the "if yer new to driving" part.the rest stands, not knowing your background.

Just keep in mind that the performance difference only comes out in favor of the SI in stock form. But after modifications such as engine swaps, the HF is actually ahead performance-wise due to its lighter weight.

but also keep in mind that you should make a realistic schedule for modifications when you choose the car to get, which is what i was getting at in my earlier post. if it a daily driver that you will mod slowly for whatever reason, the si is a better car to live with. the hf just sucks until it's swapped. and the interior on the si is loads nicer for a dd too.

Look for the sunroof, rear disk brakes, and rear sway bar. Also ED8 = HF and DX. ED9 = Si.
