Default How long did it take? (ZC)

I just got my ZC in a half hour ago and not sure if I want to try and swap it now or wait til after the holidays. I need it by next friday and have limited time to work on it during the week. I'm curious, how long did it take you to swap a ZC? As far as major components, getting the old engine out and the new engine in and well the whole swap too, wiring, etc.

That's got to be one of the easiest swaps ever as long as the car is mpfi..
We did that swap a while ago in my friends 89 si..hardest part was takin out the motor ..unhookin everything and we didnt have a hoist.. ..
But it took about 5-6hrs and we were takin our time an it started up on the first try..

Ya just make sure you have all the crap you need. it shouldn't take that long for the labor, but its always little things that slow you down. You're buddy drops a socket and you need it to take off the next bolt.. you need to run to the parts store to get something you forgot, it's not in stock you go 3 towns over ect ect ect lol. But the ZC is a direct bolt in, it shouldn't be that difficult, I can't imagne your car has much rust being that you're in FL. GL w/it

what he said. take your time, if you rush (especially the first time) than expect problems down the road.

When i did my 1st swap (ZC) about 7 years ago, it took a weekend. The thing that would have helped is having all the right tools. I ran to the Tool store 3 separare times.
Now i can do a swap like that in less than day.

It took me and my dad about a full day and a half to do it, but we had no clue what we were doing. It really is not a hard swap at all so if you have any kind of experience it can be done much quicker.
