Hopefulley, if he bought a clutch kit... it should come with the alignment tool..... I would also change the rear main seal while the tranny is out.

use 6 point sockets unless you need a 12 point

you should be ok doing it yourself.....just get the trans down and let it rest on your check, just keep the pokey bits away.....

definately use 6 point sockets unless absolutely neccesary(for some unknown reason)you have to use 12 pointers.....they strip things much easier.....

definately NO impact guns on the flywheel....and be very very sure that the torques on the crank bolts are even.....or you will have chatter like biachhh!

you will need the socket to fit the crank bolts.....thats the only really weird tool i can think of other than the aforementioned flywheel holder....which you probably dont have....but could do without.....

I just jammed a piece of wood between the flywheel teeth and a tranny bolt
to hold the flywheel still when removing/torquing the flywheel bolts.

Make sure when you torque down the pressure plate, that teh disc stays
directly in the center or else the shaft will not line up when you go to
bolt the tranny back on

I wouldn't attempt this w/o a Helms either
