Default 92 Civic CLUSTER PROBLEM NEED IT FIXED PLEASE

k ever since i bought my hatch the mph din't work and i always thought it was the cluster well i found out i had a code 17 which is vss speed sensor so i though k maybe it could be this i fixed that code bought a jdm cluster and my mph or kmh are still not moving can some1 please help now how fast im going lol

Its not the cluster that is broken, its the VSS ( vehicle speed sensor) that is broken. Just get a new one off an old tranny or at the dealer. It is a common problem for hondas.

but im not gettin the code 17 anymore shouldn't that mean is working or could it still be fucked up even if the ecu code went away

First check to make sure the VSS is fully snapped down. Pull it out and snap it down. If it's not down hard that can mess with it.

so basically correct me if im wrong the only things that make a cluster won't work will be the actual cluster is fucked up or the vss speed sensor am i correct

my friend speed sensor went out and we couldn't figure out why...then i thought it was the vss sensor so he went to the dealer ship and had it checked out and got a new and fixed problem right away

he told me that he paid like over 100 bucks for the damn speed sensor...but i'm pretty sure that u can find a pretty good and reliable one at your local junk yard...try giving honda a call

also is there a difference between the one for an auto tranny and the one for a manual tranny or will either 1 work
