Ok quick summary, I drive a 94 civic ex, with turbo set up, runing uberdata for awhile

so my car was stolen, got it back, it wouldnt start via key, but I could compression start it, so I had been doing that. didn't drive the car for 5 days, went to go get gas, was very low, car died, threw a cel and went into limp mode. try to jump the ecu, however I just get a solid engine light (no blinking!!!). here is the order of events after I reset the ecu, so no code being thrown right away.

1. turn key to acc
2. all the dash lights go on (abs, cel, ebrake ect.)
3. cel light goes off
4. injectors are primed
5. 10sec. later theres a click noise followed by the buzzz, the sound is coming from the back of the block, it sounds like a computer harddrive spining up, brrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr, sounds more electrical, maybe its a pump?, its one constant annoying note. its not normal.
6. cel comes back on at the same time
7. car is in limp mode
8. I begin to cry again

any ideas would be great, or if theres anyone in the PNW with a p28 I could test on my car thanks for any help

 

Have you tried resetting the ECU?

 

Solid check engine light and fuel pump cycling usually means bad chipping job. See if they took the chip out of the ECU or damaged it somehow.

 

yea, I pull the neg. out of the bat. cel goes away, car still wont turn. then the cel comes back on after the inj. prime. could one of the injec. be bad?? how do I test?

That's a good point. Do you have access to another ECU maybe that you could plug in and test it out.

 

the chips should be fine. I've been buring them myself. and uber had been working. why would it stop all of the sudden? I'll try one of my friends uber kit today, and I'll go over all my sodering. thanks for the input


trying to find someone in the seattle area with a p28

 

why not jsut take that ecu back to stock and test? clip J1 im pretty sure is what it will take to go back to the stock rom.

 

yea, I'll go cut it now, and check to see if it throws a cel. and then check to see if I can find out what cel it is. off to snip J1

 

ok so i cut J1, cel wont come on, thats a good thing. limits my search to the ecu, and uberdata. reinstall, remap, and reburn. and I'll grab my friends uberstuff and see if it makes a dif. now I gotta soder J1 back. hate sodering.

on a different note anyone have any ideas why the car wont start at all? dizzy? alt?
