DEAD CRX Problems-Update
Update of sorts...
After much good advice from here and on the http://www.hawkgt.com list, I ended up with a car that was still dead. So she went to a garage this morning....
Main relay, and EFI relays where ok.
That was a common thread among replys.
ECU showed trouble codes when I pulled sensor wires, so that seemed
good.
My granddad guessed the ignitor, as did some others.
Anyway.
The garage initially thought that just a Rotor, Cap, and Wires would
do it. Turns out that the ignitor was FUBAR too. as well as the
general condition of the distro itself...
So a rebuilt distributor is arriving tomorrow morning, I hope, and all
I should have to do is attach my trailer and go. That and hand over a
wad of cash....Someone mentioned that there might be a recall on a
similar distributor, but the shop said not for my model
I gave myself plenty of time for the drive, so I am not screwed yet.
(fingers still crossed)
Course just my luck, the fuel pump will end up bad too.....lol
I will post when I know the final outcome, though it might not be for a
few days, whenever I plug the laptop in.
Thanks again everyone.
By Monday I ought to be in Houston!
