Default exhaust sounds like stock when hitting vtec

my friend gave me a no name axel back he took off his car, its sounds pretty nice but when i hit vtec its sounds exactly like it did w/out the exhaust, what gives?

From all of my personal experiences the intake tends to be where you hear the vtec the most. But as long as its working what the hell does it matter what the vtec sounds like?

exactly, vtec only changes the intake lift not the exhaust so thats what will cause more sound

Yes, yes you do . If you don't hear VTEC it's probably for the same reason you don't feel your woman orgasm: you're doing something terribly wrong.

Completly agree yes you do hear VTEC but it is just not as noitceable on as SOHC compared to a DOHC VTEC but you can still hear it.
