Default 88-91 Crx Dx, HF, SI Weights?

What's the weight of the crx Dx, HF, SI at stock? For some reason my gsr in my crx weight out to be 1390 lbs. How is this possible? it was a dyno test. There's no carbon fiber anything on it. LOL Explain someone?

1390lbs isnt possible..

88 hf crx which is the lightest is like 1800 and with a gsr motor it would prolly be like 1900-2000lbs.

Who's that girl in your avatar??

I'm thinking it would have had to been Kg.

Dude, that would be awesome if my CRX only weighed 1390 pounds! Imagine trying to drive that. As it is, the wind blows my car all over the place haha.

Hey, it's not in kg!! The smog paper on the top where it has your vechicle specs. . it says: Test Weight : 1390 lbs It's a dyno test so how can this be wrong? I'm just wondering why is it so low too? My friend told me, it could be true since not all the parts on the crx isn't metal. It's all stock beside Exhaust system, Headders, Gsr b18c, AEM Brakes, AEM Short Air Intake. And it's not gutted. Very strange.

Completely impossible.

Take your car to a weighing station.

Your car should weigh anywhere from 1900-2300.

My guess is you read it wrong and its 2300lbs.

Looking back at when I purchased the car with the owner pretesting the crx, the Test Weight on her SMOG paper came out to be 1460 lbs? I tested smog 3 times. Comparing the 3 Smog test paper under Test Weight, It reads 1449 lbs and the other one reads 1436 lbs. and the recent smog at 12/06/04 reads 1390 lbs.

Any other reasons for this?

Hey Sexy (no pun intended...sorta ),

My guess would be that the place that you took your car to must have the CRX specifications pre-entered into their computer. So there is probably just a type-0 in their system that has never been corrected I'm thinking.

I know on an old smog sheet for my CRX, they said my Si had random stuff on it, like "power steering" and they called it a "4 door." Yeah, pretty stupid.

It's DYNO TESTED. Can Dyno test be wrong? I mean. . i don't know too much about dyno testing. I was just a little suprise to know my crx weight that much. I knew it was the lightest of the crx'es but not that light. I was thinking more at about 1800 - 2000.

Upon your suggestion of taking it to a weight station. I will do within a couple of days. And post the result. Until then, is there other explanation to this?

The smog station was a State Ref. Errors on their dyno? sounds kinda impossible too. I'll look more into it, and have it weighted at a weight station.

yea. 1300 is reasonable if its a frame with a completely gutted out car, with no glass, no metal, just a drag body on a frame. 1300 so what are you running? llike 10s?

douchebag

everything is in there. I did gutted it out and took out the carpets. Under there was some sound barrier black TAR stuff. Took it out with dry ice. But still that carpet and the black TAR can't make the car weight that LOW!! It has everything that a running car should have. After gutting it out, I did put back the interior panels and smog it. Very strange.

Ask them if they actually weighed your car. I didn't think any dyno's had weigh stations.
