My friend has the ES Oval on his civic with a B18 swapped in.

The exhaust looks very nice out the rear of the car, not at all like a fart can

He put a huge resenator (18 or 22 inch) on his, and the car was very quite, stock sounding at idle and had no "buzzing" sound at all.

I know he was very happy with the outcome.

I had a black ES Oval on my RSX. Straight pipe 2.5" with a cherry bomb resonator. Sounded pretty good. I have one now on my EG and it's pretty deep. I highly recommend

How loud is it? I would like something around the sound of stock but when I go full throttle get a nice exhaust sound out of it not a fart can. I have a race header already and I don't plan on putting on a resonator right away. Will it just be too loud with that set up?

It's not going to be too quiet at cruising speed. It's pretty quiet at idle though. At WOT it's a nice deep, pretty loud exhaust. Much quieter than those canisters though.

I am also wanting to go back to single chamber.. i put on my dynomax super turbo twin chamber 2.5 internals. and i could tell the lag. And to blue integraboy.... What car was this on that you say its deep and what setup exhaust (sizing, resonator..etc) and how much quieter then the fart cans. I want at least 40% quiter then fart cans. I am currently running comtech 4-2-1 ss header with 2.5 in piping with stock gutted cat. Do you guys think it would be hellla lould if i get a es oval 2.5in on it? Let me know what you think.. I am wanting to upgrade very soon. oh yea and how much do these usuallly run?

Car #1 was my RSX Type-S with Comptech 4-1 shorty header, custom 2.5" straightpipe, and a 24" cherry bomb resonator. The car had a fart can on it when I bought it. It was only until I got pulled over twice with it that I decided to get an ES Oval. Compared to the fart can without the silencer, the Oval was much quieter especially at idle. I didn't really have to lookout for cops anymore. It was still loud at WOT, but bearable at cruising. I never got pulled over again.

Car #2 is my Civic VX with 96 spec ITR motor, DC 4-1 header, and custom 2.5" straightpipe, no resonator. The car is quiet at idle. Little loud at cruising but has a really deep tone to it. The little loudness is due to no resonator. I followed another hatch two nights ago with a stock motor and probably just the fart can, and it was loud as ****. I could hear the thing clearly 200 ft in front of me.

I highly recommend the Oval because it doesnt draw attention, the straight through design like the fart cans without the loud raspiness. More Oval(tine) please!
