Default ARP 2000 8mm LS Rod Bolts

I'm thinking about have a special order made of the 8mm bolts for the B18A/B and D series stock rods in the ARP 2000 spec material (220ksi). The only current offering is in the standard 190 ksi material.

Who would be interested?

The rods will give up way before the 190 8mm bolts do even if its shot peened.

ARP 2000 is what we had all the ChampCar engine bolts/studs made out of.

I know that the "more is better/better safe than sorry" theories may be at work here, but is anyone having problems with the current ARP rod bolts in stock LS rods? Are there any legitimate disadvantages to the "standard 190 ksi material" that people are seeing in actual use?

I'm not really up on this topic (or modern metallurgy, for that matter) so I really would like to know...

Ditto... I don't think I've ever heard of a "standard" ARP rod bolt breaking or causing a catastrophic failure assuming all other engine components are working properly - I'm assuming these will be way overkill in my mid-compression 8400RPM LS/VTEC setup, correct? I have a set of standard bolts waiting, but..

What the deal?
