Its a good motor but its obd1 so you'll either have to convert your car to obd1 or convert the motor to obd0..
But other than that its like putting in a b16...
and comes with one of the best geared B-series trannys

That will work. If you can, get a usdm s80 tranny with lsd. Same gear ratios as s1 but alot stronger because of dual synchros and it has a lsd.

go obd 1. You won't have to deal with the two o2 sensor bs.... Distributors will be easier to find.
Get the hasport cable to hydro kit.

GSR+CRX= happy you

go obd 1 get a p72 so the iab's will function correctly. You won't have to deal with the two o2 sensor bs.... Distributors will be easier to find.

He's talkin about the 92-93 gsr motor ..not the 94-01 motor..
And they come with cable tranny so there is no need to convert to hydro..
he says he has the sirI tranny which is cable also so dont get him confused..

I wasn't trying to confuse anyone. i just think that a itr hydro tranny would compliment the motor and the car. That's all.

I say u just drop the motor in now as it is with a cable tranny. No need to confuse this matter than it already is for him. Oh, and you should convert the car to obd-1.

yes, but its not cheap. he explained why its better.

if the tranny you have now doesnt grind, you can use it, and cheap out on the mounts too, since the hydro tranny requires the more expensive kit from hasport.

you can do it either way, one is much more expensive.

i have a b17 in my CRX....love it to death...wouldnt give it up for nething.....i converted to obd1 stayed everything stock....and its definatly stronger than a b16 if you ask me....if you got it, drop it without even second guessing yourself....make sure you use a ys1 cable tranny to compliment the motor

What the heck are you talking about? The engine is a B17A, there are no iab's. The B17 is a stroked B16 and shares the same intake manifold.
