I'm most likely transferring to a job in Richardson, TX, from Omaha, NE. Up here, I daily drive my ITR with very little worry of theft. How's Richardson and the other surrounding burbs going to be?

 

I wouldnt park it outside. Car theft is pretty big around that area. In the past two weeks 2 or 3 members cars have been jacked from the dallas-ft. worth area. Garaged, you have a much better chance, most thieves around here arent that outgoing.

Oh, on topic, I lived in Fort Worth for 2 years with the ITR, lost a few sets of emblems (back when that was the thing to steal). The thing to do seems to be to put in a kill switch to slow down the amateurs.

It'll always be garaged at home. I'm wondering if I should be worried about it sitting out all day at work.

hmm i haven't heard too much about theft in the dallas area

 

Get the guy that sells houses in the hills to sell you one with a garage. Seriously theft is bad in Dallas, just as any other city its size. Just like anywhere be careful. My bro has a G35 sedan, has a place with garage, is careful, and nothing has happenned. Ask your company to buy you an alarm as part of a relocation package.

 

dallas = weaksauce if you get followed around

that place you could spot someone tailing you 5 miles away, literally.

Yeah I know, I searched and found your timing/swaybar/fuel/konis/tires/exhaust, and videos of your winning Nationals runs...

I'm surprised at how quick you throw the steering wheel back and forth, and keep it settled and smooth. Must be the car. hehehe

Theft here sucks. Keep it garaged for sure. I had a great alarm with a kill switch, and a hood pin, as well as an Autolock, and they just took mine on a flat bed. Leving it at work during the day probably wouldn't be too bad, but to leave it outside overnight is begging for the flat bed to pay you a visit as well. Good luck.

 

anywhere in dallas is bad..ive had my car stolen 2 times

 

my car got jacked in dallas about 2 years ago and all i had was some rmis and exhaust. It was an accord though, the most stolen car for a number of years

6. Adam's turbo LS hatch
7. Abel's turbo GSR integra
8. Ryan's old green hatch w/ jdm gsr after the new owner
9. Adam's new hatch was stolen from his friend before he bought it
10. Brandon's GSR integra

humm, I think thats it of my personal friends. Dallas is horrible for theft. I would get a beater man.
