Default Help with broken JRSC bypass valve

The nipple broke off my bypass valve. What do I do now? I don't want to spend $200 on jacksonracing.com to buy a whole new bypass assembly.

I was thinking I could thread in a brass nipple, but will that interfere with the piston movement? I think the piston goes to the top of the diaphram, but I'm not sure. I don't think anything can protrude through to the inside.

Would it be safe to use ABS glue to attach a new plastic nipple to the outside of the diaphram?

Also, does anyone know if the top half of the plastic diaphram comes off? It looks like it is snapped or threaded on, but I couldn't get it off.
