Clutch Pedal Pops back?
Just recently my clutch pedal has been acting weird. When I'm actually moving, and shift gears, sometimes the clutch pedal will pop back about 1/8" or so. I'll shift normally, change gears, let me foot off the pedal and once it gets to a certain rpm the pedal will just pop back. I can hear it click back when it does. I've lubed up the clutch cable arm (1992 GS-R YS1 with clutch cable) and that hasnt shown much improvement. It is intermittent, doesnt always happen. I've also lubed up the clutch pedal assembly as well to no avail.
Any suggestions?
Any suggestions?
I've adjusted the cable to the extremes of both ends (too tight and too loose) When it was engaging really high up (too tight) it was less noticeable, but it was still there. I readjusted it to closer to stock specs, the most comfortable, but it happens on and off everyday.
I'm at a loss as to why it's happening. But thanks for the suggestion!
Also, this is the stock cable on a BRAND NEW EXEDY CLUTCH installed 5 months ago.
Anyone else have any insight? Thanks!!!!!!!!!!!!

check the clutch master cylinder or slave cylinder for leaks.. sometimes the slave will leak behind the boot a little and slowly wears away.. easy to install both of those if thats the problem.

Yes, I've unhooked it from the clips on the engine (they just hold it steady) and that did nothing at all, so I put it back in it's rightful place. I've lubed anything I can see regarding the cable/tranny/pedal. I've run out of ideas.
Nothing is hitting the cable itself.
It is very intermittent. I just drove 10 miles from my house to the girlfriend's and in those 10 miles it felt better than it has for the past 6 months and didnt click once. But I'm sure on my way to work tomorrow it will be back to feeling "grainy" and start clicking again.
Sigh....my DB2 hates me.

I got a bit optimistic when I saw an Email saying I had yet another reply on here...but dammit, I got my hopes up for nothing.
It's been stated twice now, that it is a cable transmission: There is no master cylinder. Just a cable, pedal, and a transmission. Seems so simple, and yet there is still a problem.
